Ross commenced as an employed Solicitor with Grant & Simpson Lawyers on 9 January 1984 and was admitted into Partnership on 30 June 1986.

Ross is admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia. He also has held and developed experience as an accredited Australian National Mediator over many years.

Ross is a Member of the Queensland Law Society, the Central Queensland Law Association, National Council of Lawyers, Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia, various Mediator Groups and Associations and has been the appointed Family Law Coordinator Representative of the Central Queensland Law Association for many years.

Ross has extensive experience in all aspects of the practice of Family Law for married or common law/de facto spouses, whether prior to the commencement of the spousal relationship, during the relationship or after the breakdown of a relationship. His extensive experience in those areas of legal practice includes all aspects of property rearrangements and settlements, including superannuation funds, corporations and trust rearrangements, domestic violence and parenting and children matters.

Ross’ approach to servicing his clients’ needs is to provide accurate advices with strong and compassionate guidance and representation to achieve a settlement and outcome by the most expeditious, negotiated and secure agreement as the first option with the support, only if necessary, of Court litigation so as to fully and properly protect and finalise his clients’ interests in the most appropriate manner.
